JCC High School Graduation Requirements
Printed check off sheets are also available in the Counseling Center.
College in the Schools (CIS) also known as concurrent enrollment offers high school students the opportunity to earn college credit and high school credit at the same time. Students must qualify to earn dual credit. The courses offered at JCC HS and the qualifications students must meet can be found on page 3 of the 2025- 2026 JCC HS Registration Guide. A major benefit of taking CIS classes is that the classes are taught by high school teachers who are available every school day. Students know their high school teachers and have easy access to getting extra help.
Postsecondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) might look like an attractive way for students to begin earning college credits; however, the high school student who qualifies is expected to be a college student. They communicate directly with college staff/professors/instructors. The high school counselor is only expected to confirm qualification, collect the JCC HS PSEO Information sheets, and distribute and send in fall and spring registration forms to the college. Any substitutions for required high school credits must have prior approval from the high school counselor or they could only be counted as elective credits.
Students qualifying for modifications or accommodations in high school classes work directly with the college's student support services for to request possible assistance in their PSEO courses. High School casemanagers do not assist PSEO students in PSEO courses or in communication with college staff.
Parents/Guardians & Students: Closely read the JCC HS PSEO Information sheet. It serves as a student’s notice to our district of interest in PSEO. Printed copies are available in the Counseling Center. It is important for the student and parent/guardian to understand the benefits and consequences of participating in PSEO. Time off from regular high school must be allowed with the minimum time being at least a skinny block. The maximum amount of time depends on how many PSEO credits a student takes in a semester. Students must immediately report changes in their PSEO course schedule to their school counselor so their high school schedule can be adjusted if needed.
Link: More information on dual enrollment can be found on the state website.

Register early! Student athletes are advised to use a Division I or II worksheet from NCAA to track quality points. It is recommended student athletes take two years of Spanish and a 4th year of higher level math and/or science to meet initial eligibility standards.
Concurrent Enrollment College Transcript Requests
TRANSCRIPTS
Official transcript requests for all JCC graduates and past students are handled by our administrative assistant in the high school office.
All current students have access to view their transcripts on their IC account under "documents." If an official transcript is needed, it is requested from the school counselor. Forms are available in the Counseling Center. During the summer, stuents must contact staff in the high school or district office.
Final transcripts for all graduates will be mailed after the graduation ceremony to the college/university the graduate lists on the "Future Plans" document created by the Administrative Assistant to the Principlal for the graduation program. The document serves as the graduate's release their confidential student record.
When student athletes register with a clearing house, a release for a transcript is automatically generated and the transcript will be submitted by the high school counselor. Athletes are encouraged to register early so all requirements are planned for and met during their high school career so they are ready to participate at college.
