Superintendent Search
Jackson County Central Schools is seeking a superintendent to start July 1, 2026.
Jackson County Central Schools is a district with a strong tradition of inspiring excellence both in and beyond the classroom. Serving approximately 1,000–1,100 students, the district is deeply rooted in its community and values close relationships, and collaboration for student success.
The district operates across three school facilities that serve learners from early childhood through high school. Riverside Elementary School serves students in Preschool through Grade 3. Pleasantview Elementary School also has a preschool along with students in grades 4-5. It is attached to our new Jackson County Central Middle School which serves students in grades 6–8, and Jackson County Central High School serves students in Grades 9–12. In addition to its K–12 programming, Jackson County Central Schools provides early childhood education, community education, and daycare opportunities, reflecting a strong commitment to lifelong learning and community engagement.
The district seeks a superintendent who will honor its traditions, engage stakeholders, and lead with vision while maintaining a strong focus on student achievement and continuous improvement.
To support a thorough and inclusive superintendent search process, Jackson County Central Schools has partnered with the Minnesota School Boards Association (MSBA), which will facilitate the search in alignment with best practices for school district leadership selection.
As a part of this process, the district will be seeking public input. There will be a survey online (hard copies will be available at each school as well). This is available now and will close February 10, 2026. There will also be a Q&A on January 20 for all stakeholders. Please submit questions.
